About Me

Hi everyone and welcome to my creative paradise!
Mixed Media Artist/Educator

My name is Ivett Carrillo and despite growing up in Southern Florida, I have called the San Francisco Bay Area my home for the past 20+ years.
I have been creative all of my life, but my love for Mixed Media, altered works, paper crafting, and scrapbooking really took off early 90's. I can proudly say that I am the mother of a beautiful daughter and two awesome boys who are the light of my life and the inspiration that has fueled my work throughout the years.

Ever since I was a little girl one of my biggest strengths has been my ability to draw inspiration from everyday objects at the drop of a hat. The ability to see something interesting or pleasing to the eye and coming up with a way to put it in a layout, card, tags, altered item, drawing, Mixed Media, or a mini book has been a blessing that has only been enriched by my life experiences. The most influential of these experiences has been my various travels abroad which have not only influenced my perspective of life, but my artistic flair as well. These travels have taught me to be daring, to let colors flow, and to embrace each project I work on creatively in my studio.

My most recent work on design teams include,
Lindy's Stamp Gang, (National Educator & DT Member) 2010-present,
I Am Roses 2010-2013,
The Piece by Piece 2011-2012 and I continue to work with the TPBP as a guest artist presently.
