So I’ve been offline for a while

For this blog entry, I want to talk about a subject that has nothing to do with scrapbooking or card making. I’ve been gone first for lovely vacations with family, then because of the worst, and I’m still feeling pretty sad these days…

I write about things, objects, people, experiences that inspire me. Well my Father-in-law or Dad as I called him inspired me. Unfortunately we lost him at the very young age of 67 due to a horrible car accident, and will be missed. This was crushing news to all of us especially my children. He was an amazing person with so much enthusiasm and energy, a great outdoorsman and a fabulous hunter. I even have one of his trophies in my den.

I’m so glad my kids especially the boys got to experience their granddad this past summer. They went on hunting trips and fishing trips all summer long with him and can’t stop telling the wonderful stories about their grandpa and it brings tears to my eyes. My daughter made a “goodbye” card for him and enclosed was this beautiful passage:

I have many fond memories of you Grandpa. I look forward to seeing you again "soon" (at least in the eternal timeframe!) and giving you a big hug!

We were SO lucky to have him in our lives and for me it was an honor to know such an incredible individual. He was always warm to me and I have many fond memories of him as well, Dad you will be dearly missed but your memories will forever live in our hearts.

The, “I’m back from vacation but oh so tired” post!

Not to be counted as an actual post, obviously. Just a note, a memo if you will, to say that I’m now back from my long and much needed vacation. I traveled to Mexico and have tons of pictures to share with you. Traveling for about 34 days has its consequences, but all is good for me. I have to say that I enjoyed myself and am ready to get back in gear. Will write more once I catch up with tons of emails, mail, photo uploading, maybe some cleaning lol and some sleep. (Note I also need to schedule time to respond to e-mails)

ATC Cards

Just a reminder ATC Cards are due today. BTW I was so impressed by the fabulous work you all have done on the cards. I have had video camera trouble and this is why I haven't posted a video with April and May's ATC's I should be able to get one up shortly though. Hello! I hope you all had a happy Father's Day weekend. I've been a bit busy with my family and friends that were in from out of town. Here is a card and some layouts I came up with as a Father's day gift.

Wow! I'm Back... took some time off between my daughter's 8th grade graduation and some vacation time. I couldn't pass up this Mojo Monday. Enjoy and make sure to come back soon for more up coming projects. Happy Monday everyone.
